How much does tile flooring cost installed?

From $2 per sq ft · installation labor

Installation from $2 per sq ft (labor). Materials are priced per collection at your visit, so the number you get is the final installed price. Minimum project 400 sq ft.

Priced per square foot at your in-home visit, with removal, leveling and baseboards included in one number. Room size, tile dimensions, demolition, substrate repairs and grout selection affect your written proposal. The starting figure is a labor starting rate, not a promise that every tile or preparation condition costs the same. We identify the preparation, materials and finishing work in your quote before you approve the project.

Most whole-house installs take 2–3 days. Our minimum project is 400 sq ft. Preparation, curing requirements or complex layouts may extend the schedule; we confirm the expected timeline during your in-home visit.

A complete, clearly defined installation

  • Removal of old tile or other flooring and haul-away
  • Subfloor inspection, floor prep and leveling
  • Tile-compatible underlayment or membrane where specified
  • Porcelain or ceramic installation with thinset and grout
  • New baseboards and planned doorway transitions
  • Debris removal and final cleanup

We review the existing floor, moisture-control needs, doorway heights and furniture access before scheduling. Your written proposal identifies the chosen materials and preparation so the final installed price reflects your home, not a generic room.

Customer feedback

Porcelain and ceramic tile for cool, comfortable rooms

Porcelain offers a dense, durable surface, while ceramic gives you a wide range of colors and styles. We help you consider surface texture, maintenance and intended use rather than choosing by appearance alone. Slip resistance deserves particular attention in bathrooms and entryways where water can reach the floor.

Large-format tile requires extra care: a flat substrate, a deliberate starting line and consistent mortar coverage help control uneven edges. Our large-format tile expertise includes planning balanced cuts along walls and checking transitions before setting begins. Old tile demolition is followed by inspection, floor prep and leveling rather than covering problems with thinset.

Tile flooring questions

Is porcelain better than ceramic for my home?

Porcelain is generally denser and absorbs less water than ceramic. Both can work indoors when selected for the room. We compare intended use, surface texture and maintenance so your choice fits the space, not just a sample board.

Can you remove my existing tile?

Yes. Tile demolition, removal and haul-away can be included in the project. Once the old tile is removed, we inspect the exposed substrate and address preparation needs before applying new thinset.

Why does large-format tile need more preparation?

Larger tiles make uneven substrates more noticeable. We evaluate flatness, plan the layout and use an appropriate setting system to support the tile and help reduce lippage. Leveling requirements depend on existing conditions.

Does grout make a tile floor waterproof?

No. Tile and grout do not replace a waterproofing system. Wet areas may need a suitable membrane and carefully detailed joints. We review the location and specify the preparation appropriate for the installation.

When can I walk on new tile?

Access depends on the thinset, grout and site conditions. We explain curing restrictions before work begins and provide a return-to-use plan. Some tile projects require more time than the typical installation window.

How much does it cost?

Installation from $2 per sq ft (labor). Materials are priced per collection at your visit, so the number you get is the final installed price. Minimum project 400 sq ft.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes — licensed and insured, and the crews that install are our own employees.

Do you offer financing?

Yes — financing options are available. Our team explains the plans during your free in-home visit.
